Whether you are in the market for a lovely tender or a 36' Trawler, we can accommodate you at The Little Boat Shop. Our line of Redwings have won several awards over the years at various shows and every boat is custom built to suit her owners needs.

We build the Redwing with both the traditional flat bottom and also with a v-hull forward or dead rise hull. We will work within your budget to build you a boat that will not only be beautiful but will last a lifetime.

We utilize the latest building methods so that maintenance on your wooden boat is really not any greater than a fiberglass boat. Of course if you opt for a lot of brightwork this will require attention although there are various products such as Cetol that can reduce this.

We can also build traditionally if you wish and we have an extensive library of designs. Taking a traditional design and adapting her to more modern methods such as cold molding is also a suggested alternative and again, reduces maintenance cost.

The traditional carvel planked hull over steam bent ribs and caulked was really meant to stay in the water most of the year. Today with waterfront property at a premium not many folks have the resources to accomplish this. With the modern methods of boatbuilding we can eliminate this and still accomplish the same end result. A beautiful wooden boat.
