14' 10" Rascal Runabout
By Ken Bassett

Mitch Maillloux of Lakeville, MA. Built a "Yankee Tender" with us several years ago while we were building his "Redwing Roadster" Edition. The "Yankee Tender" was built for his wife Jane who loves to row.

They have a beautiful cabin on a lake in Aires Cliff Canada just about 20 miles from the US border at the top of Vermont.

When I showed him the plan of the "Rascal Runabout" I knew he would build her. The plan has full size templates for making the frames and she is cold molded which will make her very strong. This boat will get up on plane in four seconds with the suggested power.

A fussy little boat to build but with patience and determination you can build one of these marvelous two seaters for yourself.

We are proud to offer this design this fall in our program. If you would rather drive a Porsche than a Volkswagon then this may be the boat for you.

The entire boat is built of Honduran Mahogany with holly as an accent between the planks on the deck. This stunning boat was finished in July 2005.
