Susan Skiff
Length: 11' 3" | Beam 3' 10"

This is a lovely little boat the we can build several ways. On is the traditional way with cross planked bottom with cedar lapstrake planking.

We also build her combining the best of the old along with the new technology and would recommend that she be built this way. We use 12 mm BS 1088 Okoume for the bottom encapsulated with West System and glassed to the chine with 10 oz fabric. The garboard and middle strake are of 9 mm Okoume and the sheer Strake can be either cedar, mahogany, or plywood. She is also capable of being powered with a small outboard. The remainder of the boat is Honduras Mahogany. She is fastened with silicon bronze and all hardware is bronze. This boat will take two weeks to build in our program.

Tuition for Susan Skiff: $4,200

Not Included are oars, trailer or motor.
